The vision for this Journal Series was birthed on January 1, 2000. The purpose of this concept for journaling is not only to express our heart to the Lord, but also to listen and record what He says as He expresses His heart to us.

There is no shortage of journals available and even a spiral notebook will do. This journal was designed to give you an opportunity to read an entry from the heart of a child of God, the Lord's response in red, and then do the same for yourself.

Written in Red comes with a red pen. If you will use the blank pages to write what is in your heart to the Lord in any color ink but red, then pick up your red "gift" pen and listen to the still small voice of the Lord, He will be faithful to speak to you. You will treasure the red words as you fill journal after journal with the noteworthy words of your Lord and Savior.

There are many scripture references recorded by endnotes. Looking up the scriptures will confirm the words written herein and enrich the journey you are about to take with the best Friend you could ever have.

I will continue to publish new journal volumes of Written in Red, including thirty-one entries in each, as long as God continues to speak. I can't imagine that He would ever want to discontinue.

This journal concept has deepened my relationship with God beyond what I have words to express! I have obeyed God as He asked me to make this available to you. He pulled the black ink entries from my heart for you and responded as I wrote in red. My part was to publish this for you. God is the Author I am but the scribe.
